The first featured product is Octavia Tea, which you can find on the shelves right above the chocolates. Octavia Tea is one of the first products I decided to carry in the store. Not only is the tea delicious, the story behind the company is great, too. Octavia founder, Elizabeth Stephano, traveled around the world for 2 years and became smitten with all the different types of tea shea came across in her journey. When she got back to Chicago, she couldn't find the teas she had grown to love and so created a space for them in her community by starting a small scale tea importing business. I just love everything about that from the traveling to the passion for something new to the entrepreneurial spirit.

At Volta Market we carry 9 varities of Octavia Tea : Citrus Breakfast, Afternoon Darjeeling, Lapsang Souchong, Amber Dragon, Passion Fruit, White Peony, Jasmine Green, Himalayan Green and Ginger Peach. The loose teas retail from $12.00 - $17.50.
